About The Position

PC Laptops is hiring a Computer Repair Technician to diagnose and repair Windows desktops and laptops for customers in its Riverdale or Layton, Utah shop serving Davis/Weber County. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software, installing and upgrading operating systems, and helping customers with computer-related questions and setup. The company describes the shop as fast-paced and offers an advancement path to Senior Technician and, as positions become available, Assistant Manager and Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years old.
Reliable daily transportation.
Ability to lift and carry computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Strong work ethic and drive to succeed.
Able to take coaching, learn from experienced technicians, and apply what is learned.
Clear communication and ability to stay sharp under pressure.
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple repairs at once.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair Windows desktops and laptops using diagnostic software to identify hardware failures.
Install and upgrade Windows operating systems and find appropriate drivers and software for each build.
Assist customers in person with hardware, software, printer setup and drivers, email, and general operating-system questions.

Benefits

Starting pay of $12 per hour plus performance bonuses; most technicians reach senior-level pay of $14 or more per hour within their first 30 days.
