About The Position

Sycamore Meadows is hiring a Compliance Assistant with HUD Project-Based Section 8/PBRA compliance experience. The role involves processing certifications and recertifications, reviewing tenant and compliance documentation, supporting HUD Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs), and interpreting HUD regulations. The position requires the ability to identify, document, correct, and track compliance deficiencies.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of HUD Project-Based Section 8/PBRA compliance experience.
• Knowledge of HUD Handbook 4350.3.
• Experience with HUD income and asset calculations.
• Knowledge of tenant selection and eligibility requirements.
• Knowledge of EIV requirements and procedures.
• Knowledge of the HUD Model Lease and required HUD forms.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing and nondiscrimination requirements.
• Knowledge of VAWA requirements.
• Knowledge of reasonable accommodation requirements.
• Knowledge of waiting-list and applicant-processing requirements.
• Experience preparing a property for HUD Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs) and responding to MOR findings.
• Ability to identify, document, correct, and track compliance deficiencies.
• Experience reviewing 50059s, certifications, EIV reports, income and asset documentation, and supporting tenant-file documentation.
• Strong knowledge of HUD rent, utility allowance, subsidy, and tenant rent calculations.
• Ability to interpret HUD regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process annual, interim, and initial certifications and recertifications.
• Apply tenant selection, eligibility, waiting-list, and applicant-processing requirements.
• Follow EIV requirements and procedures.
• Apply HUD Model Lease and required HUD forms, Fair Housing and nondiscrimination requirements, VAWA requirements, and reasonable accommodation requirements.
• Prepare a property for HUD Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs) and respond to MOR findings.
• Identify, document, correct, and track compliance deficiencies.
• Review 50059s, certifications, EIV reports, income and asset documentation, and supporting tenant-file documentation.
• Calculate HUD rent, utility allowances, subsidies, and tenant rent.
• Interpret HUD regulations.
