Community Relations Representative (STX)

About The Position

The Community Relations Representative is the face of Prominence Medicare Advantage in their market. The role builds local community awareness of the health plan and drives leads and sales through grassroots efforts. The representative develops, plans, and implements CMS-approved marketing strategies for events and community activities to create sales opportunities for interested eligible candidates in the service area, and helps coordinate and host member growth and retention initiatives. The position is part of a collaborative team working to improve access to healthcare in South Texas. Prominence Health is a value-based care organization that connects affiliated health systems and independent providers through trust and collaboration. Founded in 1993, it serves members, physicians, and health systems across Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Accountable Care Organizations, and commercial payer partnerships. Prominence Health is a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS).

Requirements

Two years of experience working with Medicare or Medicaid recipients and/or coordinating or executing community events.
Knowledge and experience in healthcare, including a thorough understanding of CMS marketing rules, insurance sales, Medicare products, and client management.
Texas Health Producer’s license required; must hold a valid license within 90 days of employment.
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable motor vehicle.
Ability to apply state and federal insurance laws and legislation, as well as Prominence business processes, to everyday circumstances.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time-management, organizational, and follow-up skills, with attention to detail.
Creative, innovative, and strong interpersonal skills.
Self-oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, and energetic.
