About The Position

Hospice of Alabama is seeking a self-driven, compassionate Community Liaison to serve the Rainsville area, covering DeKalb and Jackson Counties. The Community Liaison, also described as a Hospice Marketer / Sales Representative, represents the organization and promotes its hospice services throughout the community. The role focuses on building trusted relationships with referral sources, physicians, healthcare partners, and other community professionals to help families access hospice care. The position supports awareness and preference for hospice services and drives census growth while representing the organization’s mission of patient-centered, compassionate end-of-life care. Initial conversations with patients and families about hospice care are also part of the role. The stated average base pay range is $80,000–$87,000 per year, plus uncapped commission. Requirements

At least two years of sales or marketing experience in healthcare.
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with key staff, marketing contacts, and clinical staff to ensure a thorough understanding of hospice services.
Proven ability to generate and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts, including physicians, healthcare professionals, and community agencies.
Willingness to drive, reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; additional experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
Hospice or palliative care marketing experience strongly preferred.
Prior clinical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Establish and nurture relationships with physicians and healthcare partners to strengthen collaboration and trust within the medical community.
Conduct regular outreach as an advocate for hospice services and the organization’s commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
Position the hospice as the provider of choice across the service area and help exceed growth and census goals.
Drive referral growth through regular, intentional visits with referring physicians, hospital discharge planners, skilled nursing facilities, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
Lead initial conversations with patients and families about hospice care, explain services and philosophy, and facilitate consent with empathy and respect.
