About The Position

The Community Housing Coordinator assumes major responsibility for overseeing all activities offered at identified community housing facilities serving persons with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness. Provides administrative and clinical oversight and supervision of the community housing staff and facilities ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented in order to meet the standards set forth by Bridgeway and other stakeholders. -Clinical responsibilities include working in partnership with Community Support Specialist staff responsible for coordinating services for consumers residing in each site. Additionally, responsible for ensuring quality skill development/training and rehabilitation opportunities for consumers residing at each residence. -Provide direct clinical and administrative supervision of the community housing staff including employment orientation and in house safety training for both staff and residents of each housing facility. -Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage and support in residential sites, keeping overtime hours at a minimum. Coordinate provision of regular training for housing staff to promote growth and enhance service quality. Complete appropriate programmatic assessments for individuals living in the assigned residential settings. -Assist with financial management of resident's funds by working with payee or guardian and ensuring the compliance with written monthly budgets, accurate record keeping, payment of associated fees and that basic needs are met. -Ensure that tenant rental agreements are signed in a timely manner, that monthly rent payments are secured, Housing and Urban Development (H.U.D.) paperwork is completed and applicable, and Link cards are processed per Bridgeway standards. -Oversee and assist in the provision of services for consumers in residential sites as indicated through the consumer assessment and the personal plan including, shopping, medication monitoring and training transportation and accompanying consumers to community service provider appointments. Supervise staff to ensure that all consumers receive medication and treatments in accordance with their physician's orders.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Five years related human service experience
  • Mental Health Professional (MHP) status
  • Valid driver license
  • Driving history that meets company's insurability
  • Reliable transportation

  • 2 years' experience in a field of human service
  • Previous supervisory experience
