About The Position

The Community Branch Management Program (CBMP) is a one-year accelerated leadership development program that provides participants with an in-depth introduction to the Consumer Bank. Branch Management Trainees participate in core training, including classroom sessions, departmental presentations and observations, interactions with Retail Bank senior leadership, and special projects. They also receive on-the-job training and responsibilities tailored to the needs of their branch and market and assigned by a mentoring manager. The program develops banking knowledge, financial skills, communication and coaching practices, and leadership and interpersonal skills. Trainees learn banking functions, processes, and operations by engaging with customers to identify financial needs across product and service lines, resolving complex service issues, and processing transactions accurately and on time. They gain exposure to branch operations, service, sales, risk management, relationship management, and customer experience. Trainees also work with local small-business leaders to develop community partnerships and learn to coach and develop team members. Upon completion, trainees will have basic skills to pursue entry-level professional or management roles in their assigned branch, based on individual performance.
