The Community Branch Management Program (CBMP) is a one-year accelerated leadership development program that provides participants with a broad introduction to the Consumer Bank. Branch Management Trainees take part in classroom training, departmental presentations and observations, interactions with Retail Bank senior leadership, and special projects. They also receive on-the-job training based on the needs of their branch and market, with assignments made by a mentoring manager. The program develops banking, financial, communication, coaching, and leadership skills. Trainees learn banking functions, processes, and operations by working with customers to identify financial needs, resolve complex service issues, and process transactions accurately and on time. They gain exposure to operations, service, sales, product knowledge, customer relationship management, and risk management in preparation for a branch leadership role. Trainees also work with local small business leaders to build community partnerships and learn to coach and develop team members. On completion, trainees may have the basic skills to move into entry-level professional or management roles in their assigned branch, depending on individual performance.
