The Community Branch Management Program (CBMP) is a one-year accelerated leadership development program that provides participants with an introduction to the Consumer Bank. Branch Management Trainees take part in classroom training, departmental presentations and observations, interactions with senior Retail Bank leaders, special projects, and on-the-job training assigned by a mentoring manager based on the needs of the branch and market. The program develops knowledge of banking functions, processes, and operations, as well as financial skills, communication and coaching practices, and leadership and interpersonal skills. Trainees engage with customers to identify financial needs across product and service lines, resolve service issues, and process transactions accurately and on time. They learn branch operations, sales, relationship management, and risk management, and collaborate with local small business leaders to develop community partnerships. Trainees also take an active role in coaching and developing team members. After completing the program, trainees may have the basic skills to become entry-level professionals or managers in their assigned branch, based on individual performance.
