The Community Branch Management Program (CBMP) is a one-year accelerated leadership development program providing participants with an in-depth introduction to the Consumer Bank. Branch Management Trainees participate in core training that includes classroom sessions, departmental overviews and observations, interactions with Retail Bank senior leadership, and special projects. They also complete on-the-job training and responsibilities that vary by market and branch needs and are assigned by the mentoring manager. The program develops knowledge of banking, basic financial skills, effective communication and coaching, and advanced leadership and interpersonal skills. Trainees learn banking functions, processes, and operations by engaging with customers to identify financial needs, resolving complex service issues, and processing transactions accurately and promptly. They also learn to build community partnerships with local small business leaders and coach and develop team members. After completing the program, trainees may have the basic skills to become entry-level professionals and/or managers in their assigned branch, based on individual performance.
