About The Position

This seasonal commission sales role in Women's Apparel at The Shops at La Cantera focuses on providing excellent customer service, building lasting customer relationships, and meeting personal sales goals. The salesperson helps customers create wardrobes for everyday life and special occasions through attentive listening, styling and fit suggestions, product knowledge, and follow-up. The role includes maintaining a customer-ready department and contributing to a productive, positive team environment. Hours vary according to business needs and may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and event shifts; occasional support for other departments may be required.

Ability to move continuously for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Deliver Nordstrom's 5-Point Selling Standard: Say Hello, Small Talk, Be Helpful & Sell, Fashion Authority, and Follow-up.
Build and grow a personal customer base through in-store interactions, outreach, and digital tools.
Give honest, confident style and fit feedback to build trust and customer loyalty.
Set and achieve personal sales goals and remain accountable for results.
Keep the department customer-ready by stocking, re-merchandising, marking down prices, recovering merchandise, and participating in bi-annual inventory counts.
Stay current on product knowledge and fashion trends to serve as a trusted style resource.
Communicate openly, support teammates, and contribute to a positive, productive team environment.
Follow up with customers using the 2-2-2 Method, Nordy Club enrollment, and the Personal Book tool.
Work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and peak periods.
Occasionally provide support to other departments as needed.
