About The Position

Nordstrom is hiring seasonal and regular commission sales employees for its Downtown Seattle location. This professional sales role focuses on providing excellent customer service, building lasting customer relationships, meeting personal sales goals, and creating a shopping experience that brings customers back. Depending on the department, employees help customers select apparel, shoes, children’s products, jewelry, handbags, accessories, or luggage, using product expertise and styling advice to meet customers’ needs. Sales employees follow Nordstrom’s 5-Point Selling Standard: Say Hello, Small Talk, Be Helpful & Sell, Fashion Authority, and Follow-up. They build a personal customer base through in-store interactions, outreach, and digital tools, including the 2-2-2 follow-up method, Nordy Club enrollment, and Personal Book. Employees also help keep their department customer-ready, maintain product knowledge, contribute to a positive team environment, and work a flexible schedule based on business needs. The schedule varies by week and may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and event shifts. The position may also require occasional flexibility to support other departments. Physical requirements include continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift; frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and hand use; handling bulky merchandise; and regularly lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
