About The Position

This seasonal commission sales role in Nordstrom’s Accessories department focuses on delivering excellent customer service, meeting sales goals, and building lasting customer relationships. Sales associates help customers find jewelry, handbags, wallets, luggage, scarves, sunglasses, and other accessories that suit their style and everyday needs. They use product and fashion knowledge to explain features, materials, craftsmanship, and brand differences, and provide honest style and fit guidance. The position offers commission-based earning potential in addition to the stated hourly pay range. Associates deliver Nordstrom’s 5-Point Selling Standard, develop a personal customer base through in-store and digital outreach, and use follow-up tools and practices to encourage loyalty and repeat business. They also maintain a customer-ready department, stay knowledgeable about products and trends, and support their team. Work hours vary with business needs and may include evenings, weekends, holidays, events, and occasional support for other departments. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and hand use, as well as handling merchandise. Associates regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds; some items may be bulky or awkward and may need to be reached for or lifted above the head. The stated pay range is $20.60 per hour. Commission for apparel, shoes, and accessories sales typically ranges from 3% to 14.5%. The position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Benefit eligibility may depend on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
