About The Position

Duffy’s AIS is hiring a Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician in Binghamton, New York. The technician represents the company in the field, servicing commercial refrigeration and food-service equipment and helping customers keep their businesses running. The role includes troubleshooting and repairing equipment, performing preventative maintenance and emergency service calls, and providing professional, courteous customer service. Technicians communicate with customers, dispatchers, managers, and Sales; order parts; complete service paperwork; and maintain their service vehicles. The position includes participation in an on-call rotation and ongoing training. Equipment serviced includes walk-in and reach-in coolers and freezers, prep tables, and ice machines.

The role offers $20–$45 per hour and is full-time. Duffy’s AIS provides service vans for technicians to take home each night. The company says it supports continued technician training and serves more than 135 equipment brands.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial refrigeration, HVAC, commercial kitchen equipment, or related service experience.
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable, organized, and professional.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company safety standards.
• Ability to successfully complete a drug screen.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• 5 or more years of commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and/or food-service experience.
• EPA 608 Certification.
• CFESA Certification.
• Factory training or related manufacturer certifications.
• Related military experience.

Responsibilities
