About The Position
General Parts Group is hiring experienced commercial kitchen service technicians in the Louisville, Kentucky area. Technicians service and repair restaurant and other commercial kitchen equipment at customer locations, including restaurants, hospitals, schools, and commercial kitchens. The work may focus on commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or both. The company provides a vehicle and steady commercial service work, and encourages technicians to pursue CFESA training certifications. General Parts Group has more than 80 years of experience, a field service force of over 200 technicians, and provides service in 26 states. Requirements
- Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- EPA certification is required for refrigeration technicians.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a combination technician with both cooking equipment and refrigeration experience.
- CFESA training certifications; many technicians hold a Master Certification.
Responsibilities
- Service and repair commercial kitchen equipment at customer locations.
- Work on commercial cooking equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills, commercial refrigeration such as walk-ins, ice machines, and reach-ins, or both.
- Work independently in the field.
- Pursue CFESA training certifications as encouraged by the company.
