Commercial Kitchen Service Technician
About The Position
General Parts Group is hiring experienced commercial kitchen service technicians in the Kansas City, Missouri area. Technicians service and repair restaurant and other commercial kitchen equipment at customer locations, including restaurants, hospitals, and schools. The role may focus on commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or both. General Parts Group has more than 80 years of experience and a field service force of over 200 technicians supporting customers in 26 states. The company encourages service technicians to pursue CFESA training certifications.
Requirements
- Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- EPA certification is required for refrigeration technicians.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with commercial cooking equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills.
- Experience with commercial refrigeration equipment such as walk-ins, ice machines, and reach-ins.
- Experience as a combo technician with both commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment.
- CFESA training certifications; the company encourages technicians to pursue them.
Responsibilities
- Service and repair commercial kitchen equipment at customer locations, including restaurants, hospitals, schools, and other commercial kitchens.
- Work independently in the field.
Benefits
- Hourly rates start at $25.00 per hour and go up to $45.00 per hour based on experience.
