About The Position

Whaley Foodservice, LLC is hiring a Commercial Cooking Equipment Technician to maintain, service, and repair commercial cooking equipment and commercial refrigeration, including grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, and reach-in and walk-in coolers and freezers. The position pays $28.00–$35.00 per hour. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified service technicians, and experienced technicians may be eligible for a $3,500 sign-on bonus.

The Service Technician II diagnoses and troubleshoots equipment, completes service calls accurately and promptly, communicates repair and parts-order status to branch support and customers, and audits truck stock to ensure required parts are available. The technician also maintains the service vehicle, tools, and uniforms according to Whaley safety standards and meets on-call requirements.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and/or refrigeration.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Satisfactory background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver's license and driving record that aligns with the company's safety standard.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive, electrical, installation, or mechanical background.
• Journeyman License and/or CFESA certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, and repair commercial cooking equipment and commercial refrigeration.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration.
• Communicate parts-order and repair status updates to branch support and customers.
• Complete service calls accurately and in a timely manner.
• Audit truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
