About The Position

Whaley Foodservice is hiring a Service Technician II to maintain, service, and repair commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment, including grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, and reach-in and walk-in coolers and freezers. The role involves completing service calls accurately and on time, communicating repair and parts-order updates to branch support and customers, maintaining required truck stock, and ensuring the service vehicle, tools, and uniforms meet company safety standards. Technicians must meet on-call requirements.

Requirements

Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and/or refrigeration.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets the company's safety standard.
Ability to work independently.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Automotive, electrical, installation, or mechanical background.
Journeyman license and/or CFESA certification.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration systems.
Communicate repair and parts-order status updates to branch support and customers.
Complete service calls accurately and in a timely manner.
Audit truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
Ensure the service vehicle, tools, and uniforms meet Whaley safety standards.
Meet on-call requirements.
