Commercial Cooking Equipment Service Technician
About The Position
Whaley Foodservice is hiring a Commercial Cooking Equipment Service Technician to troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment. The role involves coordinating with the branch office and customers about parts and repair status, completing service tickets, maintaining vehicle stock, and keeping the service vehicle, tools, and uniforms in condition representative of Whaley’s quality. Technicians must meet reasonable on-call requirements, including an on-call weekend rotation whose frequency varies by branch size. The work involves extensive daily travel to job sites, lifting and moving equipment and parts, repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders. Technicians may encounter hot grease and high temperatures in kitchens and on rooftops. A sign-on bonus is available for experienced technicians.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Three years of maintenance experience, including repairing commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record that aligns with the company’s safety standards.
- Completion of a background check and drug screen.
- Ability to work independently.
- Dependability.
- Ability to accurately and promptly complete required paperwork.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Stable work history.

Responsibilities
