Command Center Operator and Dispatcher
About The Position
Security U.S.A. is hiring experienced Command Center Operators / Dispatchers for its Manhattan Operations Command Center. Operators work at an electronic workstation monitoring live video feeds and communicating by phone and email with Security USA staff and clients. They may communicate with city, state, and federal authorities as needed and assist field guards by answering questions and troubleshooting incidents or issues. The Command Center operates 24/7. Candidates must be open to working a mixture of morning, afternoon, overnight, and weekend shifts. The listed shifts are 6 a.m.–2 p.m., 2 p.m.–11 p.m., and 11 p.m.–8:30 a.m. The pay rate is $22–$26 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of verifiable command center security experience or related supervisory experience.
- Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and communication skills.
- Ability to work a mixture of the listed shifts, including weekends.
Responsibilities
- Observe and inspect site locations using live video-feed cameras.
- Provide training and problem-solving solutions to guards in the field.
- Respond to emergencies by providing directions and making notifications.
- Handle guard call-outs and schedule replacement guards.
- Work independently, at times with little direct supervision.
- Review electronic reports.
- Monitor the Security USA vehicle fleet using a GPS positioning system.
- Monitor electronic patrols conducted by guards in the field.
- Send reports and communicate through email and various security applications.
