About The Position

The Command Center Associate greets customers and manages the customer storage pick-up process. The role includes verifying that pick-up customers are authorized, collecting required customer information, processing orders in POS, answering phones according to company procedures, and helping customers with product questions and selections. The associate also cleans and stocks products to Floor & Decor brand standards and follows the company’s safety practices and core roles. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

The role is frequently performed in a warehouse environment with moving vehicles and moderate-to-noisy sound levels. Physical duties include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, along with frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Store and pickup hours vary by day as listed in the posting.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of retail sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential job functions, as determined by the company.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of store management and store associates.
• Strong computer skills and internet project coordination experience.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; often use hands and fingers to handle or feel.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet storage buy customers.
• Manage the storage buy pick-up process with the company’s car topper program.
• Follow the company’s phone-answering standard operating procedures.
• Verify that the person picking up a storage buy order is authorized to do so.
• Obtain required customer information for all storage buy pick-ups.
• Deliver customer storage buy orders in POS.
• Follow company safety standard operating procedures for lifting practices.
• Maintain expert product knowledge and assist customers with product questions and selections.
• Clean and stock products according to Floor & Decor’s brand standards.
• Act and work consistently with the company’s core roles.
