About The Position

This position is responsible for greeting customers and managing the customer storage pick-up process. Full-time and part-time positions are available. The associate verifies customer identity and authorization, collects required customer information, and delivers storage buy orders in the point-of-sale system. The role also involves answering phones according to company procedures, helping customers with product questions and selections, and cleaning and stocking products to Floor & Decor brand standards. Associates must follow safety procedures for lifting and work consistently with the company’s core roles.

The work environment frequently includes a warehouse and moving vehicles, with noise levels typically moderate to noisy. The position requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. It also requires handling or feeling objects and the ability to exert the specified levels of force to move them.

The stated minimum base pay is $15.15 per hour, with higher starting pay available based on experience. Requirements

• At least one year of retail sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of store management and store associates.
• Strong computer skills and internet project coordination experience.
• Ability to be a self-starter and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet storage buy customers.
• Manage the storage buy pick-up process using the company’s car topper program.
• Follow the company’s phone-answering standard operating procedures.
• Verify that the person picking up a storage buy order is authorized to do so.
• Obtain required customer information for all storage buy pick-ups.
• Deliver customer storage buy orders in the point-of-sale system.
• Follow the company’s safety standard operating procedures for lifting.
• Maintain expert product knowledge and assist customers with product questions and selections.
• Clean and stock products according to Floor & Decor’s brand standards.
• Act and work in a manner consistent with the company’s core roles.
