About The Position

The Command Center Associate greets customers and manages the storage buy customer pick-up process. The role includes verifying that pick-up individuals are authorized, collecting required customer information, and delivering orders in the POS. Associates also answer phones according to company procedures, assist customers with product knowledge and selections, and clean and stock products to Floor & Decor brand standards. The position requires following safety procedures, including lifting practices, and working consistently with the company’s core roles.

The work environment frequently includes a warehouse and moving vehicles, with noise typically moderate to noisy. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Base pay starts at $15.15 per hour, with higher starting pay available based on experience.

Requirements

• At least one year of retail sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions, as determined by the company.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of store management and store associates.
• Strong computer skills and internet project coordination experience.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Frequently use hands and fingers to handle or feel; stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet storage buy customers.
• Manage the storage buy pick-up process using the company’s car topper program.
• Follow the company’s phone-answering standard operating procedures.
• Verify that the person picking up storage buy orders is authorized to do so.
• Obtain required customer information for all storage buy pick-ups.
• Deliver customer storage buy orders in POS.
• Follow the company’s safety standard operating procedures for lifting practices.
• Maintain expert product knowledge and assist customers with product questions and selections.
• Clean and stock products according to Floor & Decor’s brand standards.
• Act and work in a manner consistent with the company’s core roles.
