About The Position

This position is responsible for greeting customers and managing the customer storage pick-up process. The associate also answers customer questions, supports product selection, and maintains products according to Floor & Decor’s brand standards. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

The role is performed in a warehouse environment where employees are frequently exposed to moving vehicles and moderate to noisy conditions. Physical duties include lifting and moving objects, handling items, standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The position’s duties may be modified to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

• At least one year of retail sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of store management and store associates.
• Strong computer skills and internet project coordination experience.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; frequent use of hands and fingers to handle or feel.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet storage buy customers.
• Manage the storage buy pick-up process using the company’s car topper program.
• Follow the company’s phone-answering standard operating procedures.
• Verify that the person picking up a storage buy order is authorized to do so.
• Obtain required customer information for all storage buy pick-ups.
• Deliver customer storage buy orders in POS.
• Follow the company’s safety standard operating procedures for lifting practices.
• Maintain expert product knowledge and assist customers with product questions and selections.
• Clean and stock products according to Floor & Decor’s brand standards.
• Act and work consistently with the company’s core roles.
