About The Position

This position is responsible for greeting customers and managing the customer storage pick-up process. The associate handles storage buy pickups through the company’s car topper program, verifies pickup authorization, gathers required customer information, and delivers orders in the POS system. The role also involves answering phones according to company procedures, assisting customers with product questions and selections, and cleaning and stocking products to brand standards.

The associate must follow safety procedures, help maintain the integrity and security of business operations, protect confidential information and payments, and contribute to a safe work environment. The job is performed in a warehouse environment where moving vehicles may be present and noise is typically moderate to noisy. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

• At least one year of retail sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential job functions, as determined by the company.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of store management and store associates.
• Strong computer skills and internet project coordination experience.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; frequently stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet customers picking up storage buy orders.
• Manage the storage buy pick-up process using the company’s car topper program.
• Follow the company’s phone-answering standard operating procedures.
• Verify that the person picking up a storage buy order is authorized to do so.
• Obtain required customer information for all storage buy pickups.
• Deliver customer storage buy orders in the POS system.
• Follow company safety procedures for lifting.
• Maintain expert product knowledge and assist customers with product questions and selections.
• Clean and stock products according to Floor & Decor brand standards.
• Act and work consistently with the company’s core roles.
• Maintain the integrity and reputation of company operations and comply with company policies and procedures, including requirements for handling confidential information, currency, and other forms of payment.
• Contribute to a safe and secure work environment for associates, customers, third parties, and company property.
