About The Position

This position greets customers and manages the customer storage pick-up process. The associate verifies that the person collecting each order is authorized, obtains required customer information, and delivers storage buy orders in the point-of-sale system. The role also includes answering phones according to company procedures, helping customers with product questions and selections, and cleaning and stocking products to Floor & Decor brand standards. Associates must follow safety procedures for lifting and perform their work consistently with the company’s core roles. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

• At least one year of retail sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential job functions, as determined by the company.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of store management and store associates.
• Strong computer skills and internet project coordination experience.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; frequent use of hands and fingers to handle or feel.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet storage buy customers.
• Manage the storage buy pick-up process using the company’s car topper program.
• Follow the company’s phone-answering standard operating procedures.
• Verify the identity and authorization of people picking up storage buy orders.
• Obtain required customer information for all storage buy pick-ups.
• Deliver customer storage buy orders in the POS system.
• Follow the company’s safety standard operating procedures for lifting.
• Maintain expert product knowledge and assist customers with product questions and selections.
• Clean and stock products according to Floor & Decor brand standards.
• Act and work in a manner consistent with the company’s core roles.
