About The Position

This position is responsible for greeting customers and managing the customer storage pick-up process. The associate verifies that customers picking up storage buy orders are authorized, collects the required customer information, and delivers orders in the point-of-sale system. The role also includes answering phones according to company procedures, helping customers with product questions and selections, and cleaning and stocking products to brand standards. Associates must follow safety procedures for lifting and work consistently with the company’s core roles.

The job is performed in a warehouse environment where employees may be exposed to moving vehicles and moderate-to-noisy conditions. The role involves frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, and bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, as well as handling objects with varying levels of force. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

• At least one year of retail sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of store management and store associates.
• Strong computer skills and internet project coordination experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; frequent use of hands and fingers to handle or feel.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers purchasing storage items.
• Manage the storage buy pick-up process using the company’s car topper program.
• Follow the company’s phone-answering standard operating procedures.
• Verify that people picking up storage buy orders are authorized to do so.
• Collect required customer information for all storage buy pick-ups.
• Deliver customer storage buy orders in the point-of-sale system.
• Follow the company’s safety procedures for lifting.
• Maintain product knowledge and assist customers with product questions and selections.
• Clean and stock products according to Floor & Decor’s brand standards.
• Act and work consistently with the company’s core roles.
