Command Center Associate
About The Position
The Command Center Associate greets customers and manages the customer storage pick-up process. The role also involves answering phones according to company procedures, verifying that storage orders are collected by authorized individuals, entering orders in the point-of-sale system, and helping customers with product questions and selections. Associates clean and stock products according to Floor & Decor brand standards and follow company safety procedures and core roles. The position is available full-time or part-time. The work frequently takes place in a warehouse environment with moving vehicles and moderate-to-noisy conditions. The role involves frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. It requires the ability to exert force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Requirements
- At least one year of retail sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of store management and store associates.
- Strong computer skills and internet project coordination experience.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Meet and greet storage buy customers.
- Manage the storage buy pick-up process using the company’s car topper program.
- Follow the company’s standard operating procedures for answering phones.
- Verify that the person picking up a storage buy order is authorized to do so.
- Obtain required customer information for all storage buy pick-ups.
- Deliver customer storage buy orders in the point-of-sale system.
- Follow the company’s safety standard operating procedures for lifting practices.
- Maintain product knowledge and help customers with product questions and selections.
- Clean and stock products according to Floor & Decor’s brand standards.
- Act and work in a manner consistent with the company’s core roles.
