COLD FOOD (SALAD) (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Cold Food (Salad) associate prepares and serves sandwiches, salads, and other cold food items. The role cuts deli meats, vegetables, and cheeses using a slicing machine, knives, or other cutters, and follows production standards for quality, serving temperatures, and portion control. The associate obtains the daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef, stocks and replenishes deli products and condiments, and follows food-storage, sanitation, and safety procedures. The position is full time at the Federal Reserve Bank, 1455 East 6th Street, Cleveland, Ohio. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary; further details are provided during the interview. The stated pay range is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. Previous deli cooking, sandwich, customer service, and catering deli experience is preferred. Free meals, uniforms, and laundering service are available at select locations. Responsibilities
- Obtain the daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
- Prepare sandwich meats, cheeses, condiments, and salads according to approved production standards for quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Stock and replenish deli and cold products and condiments according to approved merchandising guidelines.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from the workstation, stove, and refrigerator.
- Store food in designated areas using HACCP-standard wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain counters, work surfaces, refrigeration units, and floors in preparation and serving areas.
- Cut meat, cheese, and vegetables to designated thickness using cutting tools and a slicing machine.
- Interact with coworkers to support compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
