About The Position

Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring a full-time Cold Food (Salad) associate at the Uber location in Sunnyvale, California. The position prepares and serves sandwiches, salads, and other cold food items, including slicing deli meats, vegetables, and cheeses. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Pay is $21.00 to $22.00 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

The associate obtains preparation requirements from the Chef, prepares food according to approved production standards, stocks and replenishes cold products, and follows food safety and sanitation procedures. The position also involves operating a slicing machine, maintaining clean work areas and equipment, and coordinating with coworkers to meet service, inventory, and cash-control standards.

Responsibilities

• Obtain the daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Prepare sandwich meats, cheeses, condiments, and salads according to approved production standards, including quality, serving temperature, and portion-control standards.
• Stock and replenish deli and cold products and condiments according to merchandising guidelines.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from the workstation, stove, and refrigerator.
• Store food in designated areas using HACCP-compliant wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain counters, work surfaces, refrigeration units, and floors in preparation and serving areas.
• Cut meat, cheese, and vegetables to the designated thickness using a cutting board and slicing machine or other cutters.
• Operate the slicing machine by positioning and clamping food on its carriage, setting the desired thickness, and starting the motor.
• Work with coworkers to comply with service standards and inventory and cash-control procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
