About The Position

CulinArt is hiring a full-time Cold Food (Salad) associate at Stryker San Jose in San Jose, California. The role prepares and serves sandwiches, salads, and other cold food items, including slicing deli meats, vegetables, and cheeses. The associate follows production schedules and approved standards for food quality, serving temperatures, portion control, merchandising, storage, sanitation, and safety. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The fixed pay rate is $25.00 per hour. A Food Handler's card is preferred.

Responsibilities

Obtain the daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
Prepare sandwich meats, cheeses, condiments, and salads according to approved production standards, including quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
Stock and replenish deli and cold-food products and condiments according to merchandising guidelines.
Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from the workstation, stove, and refrigerator.
Store food in designated areas using HACCP wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
Clean, sanitize, and maintain counters, work surfaces, refrigeration units, and floors in preparation and serving areas.
Cut meat, cheese, or vegetables to the designated thickness using a cutting board, knives, or slicing machine.
Operate the slicing machine by positioning and clamping meat or cheese, setting the desired thickness, and starting the machine.
Coordinate with coworkers to comply with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
