About The Position

The Coffee Shop Manager oversees department merchandising, inventory, personnel training, product preparation and presentation, and safe food handling. The manager helps maintain the department’s image and profitability and performs Barista duties when necessary. Other duties may be assigned by the store manager.

Requirements

• Friendly personality and a customer-service mentality.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, or walk for most of the time on duty.
• Ability to wear the company-provided uniform and maintain a clean, groomed appearance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all merchandising programs for the department.
• Order merchandise and control inventory.
• Supervise department personnel and provide in-depth training.
• Ensure products are prepared, priced, promoted, and restocked according to approved procedures while minimizing waste and maintaining maximum profitability.
• Coordinate the building of displays and signs, and the arrangement of products within the department.
• Maintain a favorable department image and high presentation standards to strengthen the McCaffrey’s brand.
• Follow safe food-handling procedures and ensure staff compliance.
• Perform Barista functions when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager.
