About The Position

The Cocktail Server at Baobab Lounge is responsible for providing guests with the highest quality of service in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. The role includes receiving and delivering guest orders and collecting payment. The position is at the JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District, a Kessler Hospitality property in Savannah, Georgia.

Requirements

• Must communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with employees and guests at all levels.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Must be effective at handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving them.
• Must be able to stand for the entire shift.
• Must be able to maneuver throughout the dining area while carrying full trays of food and beverages.
• Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests.

• Attend required hotel meetings and trainings.
• Maintain regular attendance in accordance with hotel standards and scheduling needs.
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
• Comply with hotel standards and regulations to support safe and efficient operations.
• Support productivity, identify problem areas, and assist with implementing solutions.
• Anticipate, prevent, identify, and resolve problems as needed.
