About The Position

The Cocktail Server provides guests with high-quality, courteous, efficient, and accurate food and beverage service. The role calls for strong menu knowledge, personalized guest interactions, and a commitment to creating memorable experiences that encourage guests to return. The server works closely with restaurant support staff and management, helps maintain clean and safe work areas, and may take on responsibilities outside the listed duties as needed.

Requirements

• One year of experience in a similar or supportive role is preferred.
• Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness certifications, if applicable.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests.
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn, the restaurant POS system.
• Ability to calculate accurate bills and handle credit cards and money properly.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Passion for crafting and personalizing guest experiences.
• High motivation, flexibility, and ability to take initiative.
• Flexible schedule and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of menu items and provide quality customer service.
• Serve food and beverages punctually, courteously, efficiently, and accurately.
• Support the team and help keep work areas clean, dry, and safe.
• Greet and welcome guests, promptly attend to tables, and take guest orders.
• Enter orders quickly and accurately into the POS system.
• Prepare and serve meal accompaniments.
• Learn and maintain knowledge of food, wine, beverage menus, and general restaurant information.
• Help ensure guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience, and relay complaints to management.
• Perform sidework.
• Open bottled wine for guests as part of wine service.
• Set up and break down stations, such as deli, dessert, coffee, and espresso stations.
• Assist with setting and bussing tables, taking to-go orders, seating guests, and answering phones as needed.
• Attend required company and restaurant trainings and meetings.
• Maintain communication with support staff and management.
• Take on responsibilities outside the job description as needed.
