About The Position

Hilton Milwaukee is seeking a friendly, motivated Cocktail Server to join the Food & Beverage team in the Monarch Lounge. The role focuses on providing attentive beverage and snack service, supporting lounge operations, and creating a welcoming atmosphere and memorable experiences for guests in an upscale lounge environment. The position is part-time, hourly, and union, averaging 20–30 hours per week. Evening availability is required, including weekends and holidays. The stated pay rate is $7.46 per hour.

The Hilton Milwaukee recently completed a $40 million renovation of its guest rooms, event spaces, and lobby. It is connected to the expanded Baird Center and is part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Ability to memorize and promote menu items and beverage offerings.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Comfort working in both busy and slower-paced environments.
• Ability to lift and carry trays up to 40 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Cash-handling experience and ability to operate a POS system.
• Willingness to obtain required licenses and certifications; TIPS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and timely beverage and snack service.
• Greet guests warmly and explain drink specials and promotions.
• Take accurate orders and enter them promptly into the POS system.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cocktails, beer selections, taps, and premium brands.
• Maintain cleanliness of guest tables, service stations, and lounge areas.
• Replenish beverages and check back regularly to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Handle cash accurately and responsibly in a self-banking environment.
• Assist the bar team and support overall lounge operations.
• Follow state, federal, and corporate liquor laws and safety standards.
• Perform side work, cleaning duties, and special guest requests as needed.
