About The Position

Hilton Milwaukee is hiring a part-time Monarch Lounge Cocktail Server for its Food & Beverage team. The role focuses on delivering friendly, attentive, and timely beverage and snack service while creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests in an upscale lounge. The hotel recently completed a $40 million renovation and is connected to the expanded Baird Center.

The position is hourly and union, averaging 20–30 hours per week. Evening availability is required, including weekends and holidays. The work is indoors and involves standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout shifts, with occasional exposure to lounge-related odors and cleaning products. The listed pay rate is $7.46 per hour.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Ability to memorize and promote menu items and beverage offerings.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Comfort working in both busy and slower-paced environments.
• Ability to lift and carry trays up to 40 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Cash handling experience and ability to operate a POS system.
• Willingness to obtain required licenses and certifications; TIPS certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• Cocktail experience preferred.
• Bartender certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and timely beverage and snack service.
• Greet guests and explain drink specials and promotions.
• Take accurate orders and enter them promptly into the POS system.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cocktails, beer selections, taps, and premium brands.
• Maintain cleanliness of guest tables, service stations, and lounge areas.
• Replenish beverages and check back regularly to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Handle cash accurately and responsibly in a self-banking environment.
• Assist the bar team and support overall lounge operations.
• Follow state, federal, and corporate liquor laws and safety standards.
• Perform side work and cleaning duties and respond to special guest requests as needed.
