About The Position

As a Cocktail Server, you will provide excellent customer service by delivering food and alcoholic beverages throughout the casino and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The role involves taking and serving food and drink orders, preparing and serving cocktails, maintaining detailed knowledge of menu offerings and relevant hotel and local information, and completing assigned opening and closing duties. The position is hourly, full-time, and day shift at Gold Strike Casino.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience as a cocktail and/or food server in a similar environment.
• Knowledge of beverages on the menu, including wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes.
• Highly motivated and energetic personality.
• Ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team.

Responsibilities

• Take orders and serve food and drinks efficiently and accurately in the work area, as applicable.
• Place orders, garnish, and serve cocktails to guests.
• Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections.
• Know hotel services and features, local attractions, and activities to respond accurately to guest inquiries.
• Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignment, including preparing and stocking supplies and glassware, and inspecting and correcting cleanliness or condition issues in assigned stations and service areas.
• Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; refer matters to management as needed and notify the supervisor and/or Security of unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
