About The Position

We’re seeking a DVM aspiring to become a practice owner. Hartsdale Veterinary Hospital is looking for the right veterinarian to step into a partnership role with the opportunity to grow into co-ownership alongside Veterinary Practice Partners (VPP). This role offers the chance to step into leadership, build ownership, and help shape what comes next for a well-established hospital in a highly desirable Westchester County location. As a Partner DVM, you will help guide the practice’s direction, support the team, and play a meaningful role in its long-term success. You will not just practice in the hospital. You will help shape it and share in its success. VPP provides operational, financial, HR, recruiting, and marketing support so you can focus on clinical excellence and team development. VPP supports more than 190 hospitals nationwide and over 200 doctor partners, including more than 100 first time veterinary owners.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
• Active New York veterinary license or ability to obtain
• 3+ years clinical experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Establish and uphold medical standards and practice protocols
• Guide case management and clinical decision making
• Ensure high quality patient care and clear client communication
• Oversee medical record accuracy and charge capture
• Identify opportunities to expand services and patient care offerings
• Support hiring and onboarding of veterinarians and support staff
• Mentor associate veterinarians and support team development
• Contribute to operational strategy and scheduling efficiency
• Foster a collaborative, team first culture
• Drive revenue growth while maintaining medical excellence
• Participate in annual planning and performance review
• Support marketing and community engagement initiatives
