About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking early-shift caregivers to provide one-on-one care to clients in their homes. The role includes assisting with daily activities and personal care, as well as offering companionship. Available shifts start between 6:00 and 7:00 a.m., and shift lengths range from one to twelve hours. Compensation is $30 per hour for one-hour shifts, $22.50 per hour for two-hour shifts, and a base rate of $19–$22 per hour for shifts of three hours or longer, based on experience. The position offers flexible scheduling and requires availability to work two weekend days per month.

Requirements

A compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience providing hands-on care in a setting such as home health, assisted living, a group home, or a hospital.
A reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
A negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
Availability to work two weekend days per month.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and other daily activities.
Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs.
Communicate with the RN Case Manager as part of the care coordination team to update the plan of care.
