About The Position
The Nursing Assistant / Attendant / Orderly administers direct resident care and performs other duties deemed necessary to ensure optimal care. The position works under the direction of a professional licensed nurse. The listed duties and requirements describe the general nature of the work and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited high school or GED program.
- Completion of a nursing attendant training program or equivalent.
- Must be trained in CPR.
- Ability to think and work effectively under stress and with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to move, sit, stand, walk, and bend intermittently throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Must possess adequate sight and hearing, either unaided or with prosthetics, to fully meet the position's requirements.
- Ability to use mechanical and technical equipment required for assigned responsibilities.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions, unaided or with reasonable accommodation determined case by case.
- Position has a high expected exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

- Experience is preferred but not required.
