About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides resident care at The Ashton on the Plaza, a Sonida Senior Living assisted living and memory care community in Kansas City, Missouri. The CNA performs duties according to accepted standards of resident care, assists residents with daily living and nutritional needs, supports medication reminders, and reports changes in residents’ behavior or condition to the Assisted Living Director. The role uses technology intended to support resident safety, care assessments, and service delivery.

Requirements

• Must be licensed in the state as a Certified Nursing Assistant and maintain current, active, and unencumbered licensure.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduation or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, escorts, and transfers.
• Assist with residents’ nutritional needs, including setting dining tables, serving meals, ensuring proper fluid requirements, and offering substitutions when appropriate.
• Remind residents to take medication and open containers and packages for them.
• Recognize changes in residents’ behavior and conditions and report those changes to the Assisted Living Director.
• Perform duties in accordance with accepted standards of resident care.
