About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides resident care at The Ashton at Mayfield Heights, a Sonida Senior Living community serving independent living, assisted living, and memory care residents. The CNA performs duties according to accepted standards of resident care, assists residents with personal care and mobility, supports nutritional needs, reminds residents to take medication, and reports changes in residents’ behavior or condition to the Assisted Living Director.
Requirements
- Must be licensed in the state as a Certified Nursing Assistant and maintain current, active, and unencumbered licensure.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties in accordance with accepted standards of resident care.
- Assist residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, escorts, and transfers.
- Assist with residents’ nutritional needs, including setting dining tables, serving meals, providing appropriate fluids, and offering substitutions when appropriate.
- Remind residents to take medication and open containers and packages for them.
- Recognize changes in residents’ behavior and conditions and report those changes to the Assisted Living Director.
