About The Position

Riverbend, a Sonida Senior Living community in Jeffersonville, Indiana, is an assisted living and memory care community providing quality care to residents. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs duties in accordance with accepted standards of resident care, assisting residents with personal care, transfers, nutrition, and medication reminders, and reporting changes in residents’ behavior or condition to the Assisted Living Director. The position offers flexible scheduling, technology intended to support resident care, company-supported educational opportunities, paid training, and a benefits package. Benefit eligibility depends on employment status and location.

Requirements

Must be licensed in the state as a Certified Nursing Assistant and maintain current, active, and unencumbered licensure.

High school graduate or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, escorts, and transfers.
Assist residents with nutritional needs, including setting dining tables, serving meals, providing proper fluid requirements, and offering substitutions when appropriate.
Remind residents to take medication and open containers and packages for residents.
Recognize changes in residents’ behavior and conditions and report those changes to the Assisted Living Director.
Perform duties in accordance with accepted standards of resident care.
