About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is hiring a CNA/Nursing Assistant for the 16-bed Boise Trauma Med/Surg Unit 5C, a step-down unit caring for a diverse patient population with medical and post-surgical needs and providing exposure to minor trauma cases. The role supports clinical staff at the unit level through clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination duties. It also performs nursing care and related non-professional services to meet patients’ personal needs and comfort as a CNA or Unlicensed Assistive Personnel under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. This is a full-time position working three 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The schedule must be flexible and includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the State of Idaho, or completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills to competently care for assigned age groups: neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric, as applicable.

Nice To Haves

Six months of Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting.
