About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a CNA/Nursing Assistant to join its nursing team on the Boise Trauma Med/Surg Unit 5C. This 16-bed unit functions as a step-down unit and cares for patients with diverse medical and post-surgical needs, offering exposure to minor trauma cases. This is a temporary PRN position with 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The schedule varies and includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The CNA/Nursing Assistant supports clinical staff at the unit level by providing clerical, receptionist, and patient-service coordination, as well as nursing care and related non-professional services that address patients’ personal needs and comfort under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.

Requirements

Hold a Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the State of Idaho, or complete the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
Have Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from the AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network at hire, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Be flexible to work a varied schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Six months of Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Provide clerical, receptionist, and patient-service coordination to support clinical staff at the unit level.
Perform nursing care and related non-professional services to address patients’ personal needs and comfort under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
Provide competent care for assigned age groups, as applicable: neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
