About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is hiring a CNA/Nursing Assistant for its 16-bed Trauma Med/Surg Unit 5C, a step-down unit caring for a diverse patient population with medical and post-surgical needs, including minor trauma cases. This temporary PRN position works 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and requires flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The CNA supports clinical staff at the unit level through clerical, receptionist, and patient-service coordination. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse, the CNA performs nursing care and related non-professional services to meet patients’ personal needs and comfort.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the State of Idaho, or completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network at hire, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Six months of Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Provide clerical, receptionist, and patient-service coordination to support clinical staff at the unit level.
Perform nursing care and related non-professional services to address patients’ personal needs and comfort under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills to care for assigned age groups, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients as applicable.
