About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is hiring a CNA/Nursing Assistant for its 16-bed Trauma Med/Surg Unit 5C, a step-down unit caring for patients with diverse medical and post-surgical needs and providing exposure to minor trauma cases. The CNA supports clinical staff at the unit level through clerical, receptionist, and patient-service coordination, and provides nursing care and related non-professional services to meet patients’ personal needs and comfort under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. This is a full-time position with three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The schedule varies and includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The role requires an Idaho Certified Nursing Assistant certification or completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program, and Basic Life Support certification at hire unless the employee holds qualifying ACLS and/or PALS certification.

Requirements

Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the State of Idaho, or completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network at hire, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Knowledge and skills to competently care for assigned age groups: neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric, as applicable.

Nice To Haves

Six months of Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting.
