About The Position
McFarland Clinic is accepting applications for a CMA, LPN, or RN in its Adult Medicine department in Ames. The role involves providing patient care and support while working with the department team. The schedule is Tuesday, with a job share covering the remaining days of the week, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Pre-employment drug screening and criminal history background checks are conditions of hire.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or an accredited school of nursing.
- For Medical Assistants: certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Medical Technologists (AMT), NAHP, NCCT, or NHA.
- For LPNs: current state Licensed Practical Nurse license.
- For RNs: current state Registered Nurse license.
- Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
- Be service-oriented, work well as part of a team, and be able to provide extraordinary care to patients.
Nice To Haves
- Clinic experience preferred.
- EMR experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Interact with patients in person, through MyChart, and by phone.
- Room patients and take vital signs.
- Process medication refills and medication prior authorizations.
