About The Position
McFarland Clinic is accepting applications for a CMA/LPN in its Ames GI office. The role provides patient care and requires a service-oriented team player who can provide extraordinary care to patients. Duties include rooming patients, handling phone calls and MyChart messages, processing medication refills, and obtaining prior authorizations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Pre-employment drug screening and criminal history background checks are conditions of hire.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or an accredited school of nursing.
- Medical Assistant certification or registration from an approved certifying organization (AAMA, ARMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA).
- Possess a State Licensed Practical Nurse license.
- Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
- Mandatory Reporting of Dependent Adult and Child Abuse.
- Previous clinical nursing experience.
- Service-oriented and able to work as a team player.
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal history background checks.
