About The Position

The Club Manager oversees gym operations to ensure an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience and a financially successful club. The role leads employees in a positive, motivating manner and provides ongoing assistance with employee training and development. The Club Manager is expected to promote friendliness and cleanliness, provide superior customer service to members and guests, and maintain a welcoming club environment. The position reports to the Regional Manager.

Requirements

• Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
• Exceptional leadership, diplomacy, and listening skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Suite.
• Hard-working, enthusiastic, and energetic demeanor.
• Strong problem-resolution skills.
• Must be CPR/AED certified.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be punctual.
• Must be able to remain constantly on call on an immediate, as-needed basis.
• Frequent physical activity is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working as an Assistant Manager at Planet Fitness is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a positive, motivating culture for team members and club members.
• Maintain a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for team members, members, prospective members, and guests, and ensure team members follow customer service guidelines.
• Provide +1 service.
• Keep the club spotlessly clean.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop high-performing teams.
• Complete payroll functions in a timely manner, including running reports, submitting payroll, and approving timecards.
• Adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
• Oversee gym operations to support an exceptional member experience and the club's financial success.
