About The Position

The Club Manager oversees gym operations to provide Planet Fitness members, prospective members, guests, and team members with an exceptional “Judgement Free” experience while ensuring the club is financially successful. The role leads employees in a positive, motivating manner and provides ongoing assistance with employee training and development. A positive, upbeat attitude and frequent physical activity are expected.

Requirements

• Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
• Exceptional leadership, diplomacy, and listening skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Suite.
• Hard-working, enthusiastic, and energetic attitude.
• Strong problem-resolution skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be punctual.
• Must be able to remain constantly on call on an immediate, as-needed basis.
• Frequent physical activity is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working as an Assistant Manager at Planet Fitness.
• Current CPR certification is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a positive, motivating culture within the club for team members and customers.
• Maintain a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for team members, members, prospective members, and guests.
• Ensure team members follow superior customer service guidelines.
• Keep the club spotlessly clean.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop high-performing club team members.
• Oversee payroll.
• Manage staff.
